We partnered with Kemistry on a digital-first rebrand, repositioning global news channel Al Jazeera Mubasher as live, unfiltered and always connected.
The situation
A global news giant with 430 million viewers, Al Jazeera is a household name across the Middle East and the Arabic world. The broadcaster wanted to reimagine the Al Jazeera Mubasher brand – its live news channel. The brief: create a system reflecting how news is experienced today – immediate, transparent and participatory. An identity that works seamlessly across broadcast, social and digital, adapting in real time as events unfold. And graphics that carry the channel, as there’s no studio presenter – everything relies on live footage and on-screen information.
The solution
We created a 360° brand solution centred on our big idea – “in the moment”. It was all about immersing viewers in the sensation of liveness, creating a smart system for presenting real-time content. The experience was anchored by our design concept – “the edge of time” – positioning Al Jazeera Mubasher in the present moment, that precipice where events are constantly unfolding. The result? Live coverage that truly feels live, with urgency, clarity, presence and impact.
